ADULT SMALL GROUPS
Two Kinds of Small Groups...
|
Off Campus Small Groups meet in homes throughout the week. Some meet every week and some every other week. They last about two hours, allowing for more social and study time. Some arrange for childcare, but most require the individual to find their own. Off Campus groups are flexible and can fit within your schedule. |
On Campus Small Groups meet on the weekends during and after our worship times. At Lakeside we meet Sunday Morning, and at Downtown, we meet Saturday Evening and Sunday Morning, for approximately one hour. These groups are convenient, and programming for children and students is provided. |
What is a Small Group? Any gathering of adults who are committed to meet together on an ongoing basis to study God's Word. Those groups can meet on campus or off campus.
What is the Purpose of a Small Group? Small Groups are where people BELONG. They are personal and fun. It's a place to make friends, establish lifelong relationships and grow together spiritual.
Why Should I Join a Small Group? Our Small Groups are designed to accomplish five things:
zTransformational Bible Study zConnect Adults zCare for Others
zMultiply Members & Leaders zMinister to Others
Develop a Heart for God. Once we join a small Group, we develop a connection to God through interactive Bible Study. The Word of God is living and active and begins to transform our thoughts, words, and deeds.
Develop a Heart for Others. As we study in our Small Groups, we find that our relationships with other members change. They grow into a deeper level of community. We begin to care for them, living out the Great Compassion by helping with their needs.
Develop a Heart for Ministry. Our Small Groups are fertile ground for the development of leaders. In them we learn and experience the exciting privileges that leadership can bring. We see God multiply Himself in the hearts of others reaching out to those both inside and outside His church.
