Summer Camps 2010

June 21 - 25 Etiquette Camp  
June 28 - July 2 All Sports Camp (K-6th Grades) - Get ready for a week full of fun while playing your favorite sports; flag football, basketball, soccer, dodgeball, volleyball. This camp will introduce the basics of each sport for the beginners and challenge the more advanced players in a fun environment that emphasizes character, leadership, and sportmanship. a
June 28 - July 2 Interior Design Camp (2nd-6th Grades) - This is an exciting and creative class for future interior designers and architects. Students will create a shopping mall that includes 4 stores of their choice and decorate each store accordingly (i.e. clothing store, video game store, restaurant, toy store, computer store, flower shop, etc.) We use exciting materials to create very realistic stores in a 3-D model out of foam. Students will be challenged creatively while learning about the fundamentals of interior design and architectural planning. At the end of the course each student will have a large size model of a shopping mall to take home. (For questions, please email Nicole Sharp  
July 12 - 16 Inward Volleyball Camp (Girls 3rd-5th Grades 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.) (Girls 6th-8th Grades 1 - 4 p.m.) Each athlete will be given ample opportunity for conditioning and developing their volleyball skills. They will also be taught game skills and volleyball terminology. We strive for each player to reach their Potential, Obtain a love for the game, Work hard to get better, strive for Excellence, and the experience will be Rewarding in developing true Christian character. a
July 19 - 23
Flag Football (K-6th Grades) - Ready, Set, Hut... This camp is perfect for the beginner and seasoned players alike. It will emphasize the fundamentals of the game, passing, and catching, as well as advanced techniques such as footwork, running routes, defending a receiver, and strategies of the game. Character counts - leadership and sportsmanship will be emphasized throughout the week in a fun-fill environment.
July 19 - 23 Cheer Camp (Girls K-6th) - This camp is designed for students who want to learn or improve on basic cheerleading skills. The camp will focus on cheer instruction, cheers, dance, and jumps.  
July 26 - 30 Soccer Camp (K-6th Grades) - This camp emphasizes special training in the areas of goal-keeping, shooting, and finishing. Players will learn technical and tactical aspects of the game.
August 9 - 13 Basketball Camp (K-2nd Grades 9 a.m. - 12 p.m) (3rd-6th Grades 1 - 4 p.m.) - This camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game including shooting techniques, defensive techniques, passing, rebounding, and ball handling. Each day will include individual instruction along with team and individual competition.
August 16 - 20 Fashion Design/Scrapbook Camp (2nd-6th Grades) - This class will incorporate fashion design, graphic design, and scrap booking. In the first part of this course, students will create their own "fashion magazine" which will feature their own clothing designs, ad pages, and many other things that can be found in real magazines. Students will learn how to draw fashion illustrations and receive a lesson in graphic design. In the second part of the class, students are encouraged to bring inphotos of their choice (favorite summer activities, family photos, etc.) to create a scrap book using these techniques. (For questions, please email Nicole Sharp.
